Fifty inches is the size that resolves an argument. It is visibly larger than the standard 43" fit-out, which guests notice, but it does not carry the cost step of moving the whole property to 55". For a superior room category that needs to justify its rate difference, this is the least expensive way to make that difference visible from the doorway.
Where it fits: superior and premium room categories, junior suites, serviced apartments, and any property positioning a mid-tier room above its standard inventory.
