How to Choose the Right LED Screen Size for Your Project
Choosing the right LED screen size mainly depends on three factors: viewing distance, installation location (indoor or outdoor), and the screen's purpose. At Fast Vision in Riyadh, we help clients determine the right size based on all three factors before any installation begins.
Viewing Distance Comes First: The greater the distance between the screen and the viewer, the larger the screen size and the higher the pixel pitch needs to be. A rough rule: minimum viewing distance in meters roughly equals pixel pitch in millimeters. A 3mm pitch screen is clearly viewable from 3 meters or more.
Indoor or Outdoor? Indoor screens require lower brightness and are used in protected spaces. Outdoor screens require higher brightness (up to 7,000 nits) and weather resistance.
The Screen's Purpose: A public advertising screen: prioritize brightness and wide-angle visibility. A video wall in a meeting room: prioritize high resolution. A hospitality screen in a guest room: size aligns with standard TV sizes (32 to 65 inches).
