The Challenge

Six hundred rooms in one month means completing around twenty rooms a day, each requiring mounting, connection, configuration, integration with the hotel platform and testing — inside a working hotel with rooms in service and guests in residence. Installation is not the hard part; disciplined repetition is. Room 600 has to come out identical to room 1 in settings, channels, guest interface and display language. Room categories added a second layer. A suite does not take the same screen size as a standard room, which called for four different sizes distributed precisely across categories while keeping the guest experience identical on every one of them. The third challenge sits in the public areas. The lobby and the Rotunda Lounge need content that changes daily — dining offers, lounge hours, events — and neither can afford updates being made manually screen by screen.

The Solution

In the rooms: Samsung HG hospitality series displays in four sizes — HG50AU800AUXUE, HG55AU800AUXUE, HG65AU800AUXUE and HG75BU800AUXUE — distributed across room and suite categories. Hospitality displays differ fundamentally from consumer televisions: they are managed and configured centrally, their settings are cloned from one unit to the next rather than set by hand on every screen, their menus are locked so guests cannot alter hotel configuration, and they reset to a default state at check-out. Those characteristics are what made 600 rooms in a month achievable at all. The screens were connected to an interactive hospitality platform presenting the guest with a bilingual Arabic and English hotel interface: hotel information, broadcast channels, the dining menu with a QR code for direct ordering, and promotions — turning the screen from a television into a service and sales channel inside the room. In the public areas: a 4×4 video wall carries the brand at the hotel entrance, and a second 3×1 portrait wall in the Rotunda Lounge runs daily offers and service hours. Four 65" Samsung LH65QMCEBGCXUE kiosk displays were added across the public spaces, all running Samsung MagicINFO, so updating any message is done once from a single point and reaches every screen.

Execution

The project ran over approximately one month, beginning with verification of mounting points and power provisions floor by floor, then installation in batches following each floor's readiness, with every screen configured, linked to the hotel platform and tested room by room before moving to the next floor. Once the rooms were complete, the two video walls and the kiosk displays were installed and adjacent panels calibrated for colour and brightness, MagicINFO content templates were built, and the system was handed over to the hotel team with training on updating content themselves.

Results

Six hundred rooms running a unified bilingual guest interface, plus two video walls and four kiosk displays across the public areas, all managed from a single point. The clearest operational effect is that changing a restaurant offer or adjusting lounge hours now publishes across every screen in the hotel within minutes instead of being printed and distributed location by location — and that the in-room screen now works as a service and ordering channel around the clock.
