The DS-D4012CW-2F is Hikvision's fine-pitch indoor cabinet for rooms where people sit close to the screen. At a 1.25 mm pixel pitch the image stays clean from roughly a metre and a half away, which is why this class of panel ends up in control rooms, executive boardrooms and broadcast studios rather than on a shop wall.
Each cabinet is a die-cast aluminium unit measuring 600 × 337.5 × 29.5 mm and weighing 3.4 kg — thin enough to sit almost flush against a wall, light enough that a two-person crew can build a wall without lifting gear. Lamp board, power supply and receiving card all come out from the front, so a fault is fixed without dismantling the structure or leaving service access behind the wall.
Brightness is set at 600 cd/m², which is the right level for an air-conditioned interior; a brighter panel in the same room would simply tire the eye. The dynamic brightness engine reduces power on harsh high-brightness frames, and the cabinet runs a built-in moisture-removal cycle to protect the lamp boards during long idle periods.
